Nusa Penida : The View from Under the Ocean and Above the Hills

Bali, what is so special about it?

One of the most touristy destinations in this entire planet. Some say, it is overrated as hell. So many scams, and not so good anything. Some say, it's a paradise of awesome beaches, great surf, and cheap beers.

We all think we know all about this island. Go to beach, drink in some of those hip cafes and those clubs. Get a motorbike and pretty much go anywhere. In 2017 alone, I went there 10 times for all sort of different reasons.

This time however, me and the team from KANO, went on a completely different adventure here in Bali. We were thinking to ditch those mainstream destinations, and went off to some of the less explored areas. In this article specifically, We're going to explore Nusa Penida.

An Island South East of mainland Bali. It took us 45 minutes to get there by boat. This place has somewhat gained a little more popularity in the recent years. And it is of course for a good reason. It's just so laid back, underdeveloped, yet so charming in its own way. We came here in the right time. Where the sun was shining, and the mantas roam free in the ocean. Here is our story from some photographs we captured then,
